There are various postgraduate programs available within the institute, such as:
> PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology:
The main objective of the program is to train scientists at the highest level in the area, while developing a critical spirit in them as well as the ability to identify and solve current biological problems. Thus, the nature of the program provides the students with the fundamental language and tools to express their creativity in the sciences. CNA Accredited Program until March 12, 2023.
> Master’s in Cs. Microbiology:
The program is designed to deliver classic and progressive information on bacteria, viruses, and fungi in order for the professional to deepen their knowledge of microbiology and become a qualified researcher in the discipline. The program has three areas: Bacteriology, Virology, and Mycology. CNA Accredited Program until March 25, 2024.
> Master’s in Biochemical Biotechnology:
The program satisfies this sector’s demand for highly qualified personnel and also connects the productive sector with scientific and technological university research. It also trains graduates with up to date theoretical-practical knowledge that can be incorporated when joining a biotechnology research laboratory and/or when pursuing a PhD in sciences. CNA Accredited Program until January 11, 2024.
Double Graduation Program with Germany:
The PhD program in Science of Cellular and Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Sciences of UACh and the University of Regensburg hold an international agreement called “German-Chilean PhD Program RegenVald.” Within the framework of this agreement, once all required credits by both universities are fulfilled, the student earns a doctorate in Chile and Germany. The Chilean-Germany agreement together with the MECESUP AUS1203 project (awarded this year to UACh for the internationalization of doctoral students), endorses the excellence of this program, positions it among the programs with the longest accreditation by the CNA and nominates it for an upcoming international accreditation.
